Kennewick sits on the south bank of the Columbia River in southeastern Washington. It is one of the three Tri-Cities, alongside Richland and Pasco. From above, the river forms the northern edge of the map, a broad band of water bending east toward its meeting with the Snake. South of it, a regular grid of streets and cul-de-sacs rises gently toward the open slopes that frame the valley.
Two bridges carry the city across to Pasco, and Columbia Park runs as a long green strip along the shore. The Kennewick Man, an ancient skeleton found on that riverbank in 1996, made the city's name known well beyond the region. Highway corridors run along the southern and western edges, giving the orderly blocks a clear frame and a sense of direction.
A Kennewick map poster works best at the scale of the whole river bend, where the contrast between water, street grid and empty land is strongest. In black and white, the irrigated neighbourhoods read as dense texture and the surrounding shrub-steppe as quiet white space. That is close to how the place feels on the ground, green where the water reaches and open everywhere else.

The Cable Bridge and the older Blue Bridge cross the Columbia to Pasco. They are two straight lines over the water that tie the Tri-Cities together on the map.
Just east of the city the Snake River joins the Columbia, and the Yakima enters upstream near Richland. Few stretches of the Pacific Northwest show this many rivers in one frame.

Aiheā Kennewick
People hang a map of Kennewick because it holds the Tri-Cities in one frame: the house near the river, the school across the bridge, the drive home past the orchards. For those who grew up here or came for work at nearby Hanford, it is a precise reminder of a very particular landscape.
You can set your own title, add a subtitle such as a street or a year, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the $9 HD files in six sizes or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
