Mangistau lies in western Kazakhstan, in the region that shares its name, on the Mangyshlak peninsula near the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea. This is arid country: flat steppe and desert plateau, with little vegetation and few natural features to shape a town. On a map, the built area is a small, clearly bounded shape surrounded by a great deal of open ground.
The wider region is known for oil and gas and for the dramatic chalk escarpments and canyons of the Mangyshlak landscape further inland. Roads here run long and straight across the plateau and connect settlements, industrial sites and the coast. A Mangistau map poster keeps that sense of distance, with a compact town and the long lines that tie it to the rest of the region.
In black and white, empty land becomes part of the design. The streets form a simple grid, access roads run off at straight angles, and the blank space around them gives the map a spare, almost graphic look. It is a portrait of a place defined by open horizons more than by density.
The settlement is laid out as a regular pattern of streets and blocks, set down as a single piece on open ground with little sprawl around it.
Straight roads run out across the plateau toward the coast and neighbouring settlements. On the map they are thin, confident lines through otherwise empty space.
The Caspian coast lies a short distance to the west, and the flat land between town and sea shows how closely the region is tied to that shoreline.

Aiheā Mangistau
A Mangistau map suits people who have worked in the region, grown up on the peninsula or moved away and want a reminder of the steppe. Its minimal composition fits modern interiors and doesn't compete with the rest of the room.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example to mark the year you arrived or the town you come from. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The HD files come without a watermark.
