Te mape
Maozhou lies in the eastern Pearl River Delta of Guangdong, on the densely built corridor between Shenzhen and Dongguan. The area takes its name from the Maozhou River, which flows toward the Pearl River estuary. From above, the map is a patchwork of factory compounds, residential blocks and wide arterial roads, with almost no open land left between neighbouring towns.
The river is the clearest natural line on the map. Heavily channelled along much of its length, it forms part of the boundary between Shenzhen and Dongguan and has been the focus of major clean-up and riverside park projects in recent years. Its straightened course cuts through the urban fabric as a firm, continuous band.
Like many towns in this part of the delta, Maozhou grew rapidly with manufacturing from the late twentieth century onward, and its streets reflect that speed: large rectangular plots, long straight roads and clusters of worker housing. A Maozhou map poster captures this industrial geometry, which is unusually dense and regular, in a single graphic frame.
The channelled river runs through the area toward the estuary, a strong linear feature that separates built-up districts and gives the dense map a clear sense of direction.
Large rectangular industrial plots, each with its own internal roads and buildings, repeat across the map to create a bold, modular texture unlike older town centres.
Wide main roads and expressways run through the area in long straight lines, linking it to the rest of the delta and dividing the dense fabric into large sections.

Aiheā Maozhou
For people who worked, studied or started a family in this corner of the delta, Maozhou is a place that shaped years of life, even if it appears on few maps abroad. A poster gives it that recognition.
Add a title and subtitle in your own words, for example a company name, a year or a family name, and edit the coordinates line. Five styles are offered, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as HD files or printed posters.
