Nagpur is often described as the geographic heart of India, and a colonial survey marker known as the Zero Mile Stone stands near its centre. On the map the city is compact and roughly round, with dense older neighbourhoods in the east around Itwari and Mahal and a more open pattern of wider roads to the west, where civil lines and institutional campuses leave large gaps in the street texture.
Water shapes the western half. Futala, Ambazari and Gorewada lakes sit on the fringe like pale stepping stones, and the small Nag River, which gives the city its name, threads eastward through the centre. Sitabuldi hill rises beside the main commercial district, and the broad rail yards of Nagpur Junction cut a long, clean band between the old town and the new.
Nagpur serves as the winter capital of Maharashtra, hosting a session of the state legislature each winter, and it is famous for its oranges. It is also home to Deekshabhoomi, where B. R. Ambedkar and hundreds of thousands of followers embraced Buddhism in 1956. A Nagpur map poster sets all of this into a single, legible plan of lakes, rail and dense streets.
Two lakes on the western edge of the city appear as clean open shapes against the grid, Futala small and neat, Ambazari larger with parkland along its shore.
The low hill and its fort rise beside the busiest shopping district, a point where the road network bends around the slope instead of running straight through.
Main lines from all four directions meet at Nagpur, and the wide tracks and yards form long unbroken strips that divide the map into distinct sectors.

Aiheā Nagpur
Nagpur is a place many people pass through on long rail journeys and many others call home for decades. A poster of its lakes and neighbourhoods works as a personal marker: a childhood district, a college address, or the city a family once moved away from.
Every map can carry your own title, subtitle and coordinates. Pick Classic black & white for crisp contrast, Noir for a dark wall, or Paper, Blueprint and Sand for softer tones. The $9 download includes six sizes, each as a 300 DPI PNG and a print-ready PDF.
