Curving street pattern
Hardly any road runs straight here. Streets bend, fork and close into cul-de-sacs, giving the map an organic, branching texture that is rare in older grid-planned towns.

Ocean Acres is a residential community in Stafford Township, in the southern part of Ocean County, New Jersey. From above it reads like a drawing of branching veins: winding streets curve through dense woodland, split into short courts, and end in rounded cul-de-sacs. Hardly any straight line survives. The houses sit on generous wooded lots, so the street pattern is the main thing visible on the map.
The community sits at the edge of the New Jersey Pinelands, the large protected forest that covers much of the state's southern interior. On a map the contrast is sharp: to the west the streets stop and the pine forest takes over, while to the east the land runs toward Manahawkin, the causeway and the barrier island of Long Beach Island beyond Barnegat Bay.
An Ocean Acres map poster shows a suburb laid out around the land rather than over it. The curving streets follow the gentle terrain of the pine barrens, and the looping pattern repeats across the whole area in slightly different forms. In black and white, the result looks almost like a fingerprint, with each loop and dead end drawn as one continuous, fluid line.
Hardly any road runs straight here. Streets bend, fork and close into cul-de-sacs, giving the map an organic, branching texture that is rare in older grid-planned towns.
The western side of the map fades into the protected pine forest of the New Jersey Pinelands, a wide area where the street network simply stops at the trees.
To the east, the roads lead toward Manahawkin and the causeway to Long Beach Island, placing the community within a short drive of the bay and the Atlantic shore.

Aiheā Ocean Acres
People who live here know Ocean Acres by its loops and courts, the particular turn that leads home. A map poster turns that everyday route into a clear image, and it suits anyone who has raised a family, spent summers near the shore, or simply settled among the pines.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a move-in date, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, with an optional wooden frame.
