Şaḩam lies on the Batinah coast of northern Oman, where the Gulf of Oman meets a long, low plain. From above, the town reads as a series of horizontal bands. Sand and sea form a clean edge along the top of the map, a green strip of date palms and farms runs behind it, and then come the newer roads and districts that reach inland toward the mountains.
The Batinah plain is shaped by water arriving from the Hajar range. Wadis that are dry for most of the year cross the plain toward the sea, and on a map they appear as soft, braided lines between the road grid and the plantations. Neighbourhood streets are laid out in loose rectangles, while older settlement clusters near the shore keep a more irregular, village-like pattern.
A Şaḩam map poster turns that layered geography into a quiet graphic. The coastline gives the composition a firm horizon, the palm belt adds a fine texture of small plots and lanes, and the arterial roads running parallel to the shore tie everything together. It is a portrait of a coastal Omani town defined by sea, date gardens and the mountains behind them.
A long, almost straight coast on the Gulf of Oman marks the edge of the map. Seen in black and white, it reads as one continuous line against the empty sea.
Between the beach and the town, small walled plots and narrow lanes form a dense, fine-grained texture. It is the traditional farming zone of the Batinah coast.
Seasonal watercourses coming down from the Hajar foothills cross the plain in loose, branching lines that break up the regular pattern of the newer streets.

Aiheā Şaḩam
For people from Şaḩam or with family on the Batinah coast, this map holds a familiar geometry of shore, palms and roads. It suits a hallway or a study where a restrained, graphic piece works better than a photograph.
You can add a family name, a date or the coordinates line, and choose one of five styles. Sand picks up the warm light of the coast, while Classic black & white or Noir brings out the shoreline and the fine grid of plantations.
