Sinngu lies in Yangon Region, on the low, flat land of the Irrawaddy delta's eastern edge, not far from the city of Yangon itself. On a map, this is terrain without hills, so what shapes the picture is water and roads: slow creeks, drainage channels and a network of lanes that thicken as they approach the metropolitan area.
It is a place in transition. Some parts show the tight, irregular lanes of older settlement, while others show straighter, more recently laid streets and wide plots between them.
