Warragul sits in West Gippsland, roughly a hundred kilometres east of Melbourne, and from above it reads as a town shaped by its terrain. The streets do not settle into a strict grid. They bend around rises and gullies, loop into cul-de-sacs on the slopes, and thin out quickly into the paddocks of the surrounding dairy country.
The Gippsland railway line cuts through the middle of town, and the older commercial blocks gather close to it, where the street pattern is at its most regular. Further out, newer estates spread in looser curves, and the Princes Freeway runs along the south as a smooth, uninterrupted line that bypasses the centre entirely.
A Warragul map poster shows the meeting of these layers: a compact railway town, the softer geometry of hillside suburbs, and the open rural land that frames it on every side. In black and white, the contrast between dense centre and scattered edge becomes the main subject, and the outline of the town feels specific to this corner of Victoria.
The Gippsland line runs straight across the map, and the town's oldest and most orderly blocks sit close to it, a reminder of how the railway shaped where Warragul grew.
The Princes Freeway traces a clean arc along the southern side, carrying through traffic past the town and giving the poster a strong, continuous line at its lower edge.
Away from the centre, residential streets curl and branch across rolling ground, producing loops and short dead ends that show the shape of the land beneath them.

Aiheā Warragul
For people who grew up in Warragul, commuted from it, or moved there for a quieter life within reach of Melbourne, the map holds routes that are known by heart. It is a practical place rendered as a calm, readable drawing.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps adding a year that matters, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital files cost $9 and arrive without a watermark, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
