Al Burayj, often written Bureij, is in the central Gaza Strip, a short distance inland from the Mediterranean coast. It was established as a refugee camp after 1948 and became a permanent, crowded urban area over the following decades. From above, the street pattern is extremely dense, with narrow lanes and closely packed buildings.
The camp lies among other central communities, including Nuseirat and Deir al-Balah, with farmland and open plots historically found between them. Main roads run north and south through this part of the Strip, and the coast is close by to the west.
An Al Burayj map poster records the fine, tight grain of its streets, which differs clearly from the looser pattern of the surrounding land. For families with roots here, the map can hold the memory of specific lanes, homes and neighbours, drawn with care and without decoration.
Narrow lanes and closely packed buildings create one of the tightest street patterns in the region, a fine texture that fills the centre of the map.
The camp sits among neighbouring communities in the middle of the Strip, connected by main roads running north and south.
The Mediterranean shoreline lies a short distance to the west, providing a clear edge on a wider view of the area.

For many families from Al Burayj, a map is a way to keep the precise shape of home. The poster preserves the lanes and neighbourhoods as a record, whether for a home far away or for the next generation.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or a date that matters, and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
