Al Buraymī lies on Oman's border with the United Arab Emirates, and its map runs straight into that of Al Ain on the other side. The two towns grew from the same cluster of oases, and on paper the built-up area appears continuous, divided only by the line of the border. Streets spread across flat, dry ground, with the Hajar Mountains to the east.
Date palm gardens have long been at the heart of the oasis, irrigated by aflaj, the traditional water channels that bring groundwater to the surface. On the map, these gardens appear as dense green patches among the streets. Old forts, including Al Khandaq Fort, stand as reminders of the area's strategic importance over the centuries.
In the 1950s the oasis was at the centre of a territorial dispute involving Oman, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. An Al Buraymī map poster shows a town defined by water, borders and desert, where old oasis gardens and modern streets meet a line that divides one urban area between two countries.

The fort stands within the town as a clear landmark, its compact outline recalling the defensive importance of the oasis over centuries.
The boundary with the UAE runs through the shared urban area, with Al Ain's streets continuing on the other side, a rare feature on any city map.

Al Buraymī suits people who know the oasis from both sides of the border, families rooted in the palm gardens and anyone who has crossed between Oman and the Emirates here. The map shows the town's unusual shape clearly.
The title and subtitle can be personalised with a name or a date, and the coordinates line can be edited. Five styles are available; Sand fits the desert setting, while Noir makes the gardens and streets stand out.
