Bhānvad is a town in Devbhumi Dwarka district, on the Saurashtra peninsula of western Gujarat. It lies inland, between the Arabian Sea coast and the interior plains, in a landscape of cultivated fields, scattered villages and seasonal watercourses. From above, the town appears as a dense core of streets, with roads spreading outward across the open countryside.
The low Barda hills rise to the southwest, one of the few areas of higher ground in this part of Saurashtra, and much of the land around the town is farmed in step with the monsoon. Bhānvad serves as a local centre for the surrounding villages, and its layout reflects that role, with roads converging on the centre from several directions.
