Seen from above, Bharwāri is a small town where one straight line decides the pattern: the railway. Streets and lanes gather along it and around the station, then thin out quickly into a patchwork of fields, village tracks and scattered ponds. The town is in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, in the doab country between the Ganges and the Yamuna, west of Prayagraj.
