Colíder was founded in the 1970s during the colonisation of northern Mato Grosso, and its map still shows the logic of a planned settlement. Wide avenues cross at right angles, blocks are regular, and the town grows outward in orderly additions. The BR-163, the long highway linking Cuiabá with the Amazon at Santarém, passes the urban area and anchors its layout.
Around the town, the landscape is a mosaic of pasture, cropland and remaining forest, crossed by long, straight rural roads. The Teles Pires River flows through the wider region, and a hydroelectric plant built on it carries the town's name. On a poster, this is a place defined by geometry: the clarity of a young town set against open country.
A Colíder map poster is a fitting keepsake for families who took part in the move north, or for anyone who has built a life here since. The black lines of the grid read almost like a drafting plan, a record of a town that was drawn deliberately rather than grown by accident over centuries.
The urban core is a regular chessboard of blocks and wide avenues, typical of towns planned during the settlement of Brazil's agricultural frontier in the late twentieth century.
The federal highway running toward the Amazon passes the town, a strong single line that connects Colíder with Cuiabá to the south and Pará to the north.
Straight rural roads extend into pasture and crop fields around the town, forming a sparse outer frame of long lines and wide open gaps.

Colíder is a young town, and many who live here remember its early streets or have parents who arrived to clear land. A map poster honours that story of building something from the ground up, and its clean grid looks especially sharp in print.
Add your own title, a subtitle with the year your family arrived, and edit the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, framed or unframed.
