Colonia Caroya lies just north of Córdoba city, beside Jesús María, and was founded in 1878 by immigrants from Friuli in northern Italy. Its map is unusually linear. Instead of a compact centre, the settlement stretches along a single long avenue, with narrow farm plots running off it at right angles in the orderly pattern of a planned farming colony.
That avenue, lined with tall plane trees, is the town's signature and is often described as one of the longest tree-lined roads in the country. The Friulian heritage lives on in local food and wine, and Colonia Caroya is known across Argentina for its salami. At the edge of town stands the Estancia de Caroya, one of the Jesuit estancias of Córdoba listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
A Colonia Caroya map poster shows how deliberately the place was laid out. The avenue is a bold central stroke, the parallel field boundaries repeat on either side, and the grid grows denser where the colony meets Jesús María. For families with Friulian roots, or anyone who loves the Córdoba countryside, it is a quietly striking print.
The main avenue runs straight through the colony for kilometres, shaded by plane trees. On the map it forms an unbroken spine from one end of town to the other.
Farm parcels extend in long, narrow strips from the avenue. This legacy of the original colonial layout gives the poster its striking rhythm of parallel lines.
The former Jesuit estancia, part of a UNESCO World Heritage listing, sits near the town and ties this nineteenth-century colony to a much older chapter of Córdoba.

Colonia Caroya is a place people are proud of, for its founders, its avenue and its table. A map poster turns that pride into a graphic form and shows the geometry the first settlers drew across the land.
You can add a family name, a founding year or a wedding date to the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download six print sizes for $9 or order a printed poster.
