Daro is a small town in the Mukah region of Sarawak, on the low coastal plain of Malaysian Borneo. The land is flat and wet, with wide rivers, tidal channels and peat swamp forest. Water has always been the main way to get around, and the town sits right on the river.
Its streets are few and practical. A waterfront row, a small market area and residential lanes lead back from the bank. The surrounding district is home to Melanau communities, whose long connection to the rivers and the sago palm is part of the area's identity.
A Daro map poster shows a very small street network set against large, meandering waterways. The river takes up much of the composition, and the town appears as a precise cluster on its bank. It makes a calm, strongly graphic image of a place shaped by water.
The town follows the riverbank. Its main streets run parallel to the water, where boats and landings once handled all traffic.
Broad rivers and tidal channels loop across the lowlands and give the poster its dominant flowing lines.
Beyond the last streets lie peatland and plantations. They leave wide, quiet space around the small urban core.

For people from Daro who now live in Sibu, Kuching or Kuala Lumpur, the town is tied to the river and to family. A map poster keeps that small riverside place in view in a clean, modern form.
