Gōdo is a town in the Anpachi District of Gifu Prefecture, in central Japan. It lies on the Nōbi Plain, one of the largest flat areas in the country, and from above the map shows a calm, even pattern of fields, roads and clustered neighbourhoods.
The plain is crossed by several large rivers flowing south toward Ise Bay, and water has always shaped life here. Rice paddies are divided into neat rectangles, embankments run along the waterways, and residential areas sit in compact clusters between fields.
A Gōdo map poster captures the quiet order of the Japanese countryside close to a larger urban region. The straight roads and field boundaries form a delicate grid, while the rivers add long, sweeping curves. In black and white, the result is restrained and precise, much like the landscape itself.
Fields divided into regular rectangles create a fine, even texture across the map, typical of the Nōbi Plain.
Nearby rivers and their raised banks sweep across the flat land, giving the composition long, gentle curves.
Houses gather in compact groups between fields, forming small, dense patches of streets within the open grid.

Ko e hā ʻa Gōdo
For people who grew up in Gōdo or in the Nishimino area of Gifu, a map of the town is a quiet link to home and family. It also suits anyone who appreciates the order of the Japanese rural landscape.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates with a name, a date or a place in Japanese or English. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper gives the plain a soft, printed feel.
