Heysham lies on the coast of Lancashire, just south of Morecambe, where a low headland meets the vast tidal flats of Morecambe Bay. It is home to Heysham Port, with ferries to the Isle of Man and Ireland, and to two nuclear power stations, which dominate the southern end of the shore.
Heysham also has a much older side. On the headland, the ruins of St Patrick's Chapel sit beside a row of rock-cut graves, among the most unusual early medieval remains in England. Below them, the old village keeps a small cluster of lanes, while modern housing spreads inland.
A Heysham map poster captures this mixture: the harbour's straight breakwaters, the curve of the bay, the historic headland and the residential streets behind. Rendered in black and white, the contrast between sea, sand and land gives the composition a strong outline.
The harbour's breakwaters and quays form sharp geometric shapes on the coastline, the departure point for ferries across the Irish Sea.
The ruined St Patrick's Chapel and its rock-cut graves stand on the headland above the old village, overlooking Morecambe Bay.
Wide tidal sands stretch away from the shore, giving the map a broad, open area that emphasises Heysham's position on the edge of the bay.

Ko e hā ʻa Heysham
Heysham means different things to different people: the ferry to the Isle of Man, walks on the headland, sunsets over the bay, or simply home. A map of its coast and streets keeps all of that in one calm image.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files cost $9, and printed posters on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame, are also available.
