From above, Khushāb reads as a tight knot of streets set close to the Jhelum River. The older core is dense and irregular, with lanes that bend and meet at small junctions, while newer blocks spread outward in looser, more regular pieces. Around it the land turns quickly to farmland, and roads leave town in several directions, drawing thin lines across the plain.
Khushāb is the headquarters of the district of the same name in Punjab, a district that runs from the river lowlands toward the Salt Range in the north and the sandy Thal to the south. That position between river, hills and desert explains much of what a map shows: water on one side, cultivated ground around the edges, and routes that follow the easiest paths across the land.
A Khushāb map poster keeps all of this in plain black and white. The river becomes a broad pale band, the town a fine web of dark lines, and the fields around it a quieter texture of tracks and channels. Without colour or labels, the shape of the place carries the image: a settlement built where the river made life possible.
The river passes close to town and gives the map its strongest single shape, a wide ribbon with sandbanks and channels that shift across the floodplain from season to season.
The heart of town is a close grid of irregular lanes, far finer than the newer districts around it, and it appears on the poster as the darkest patch of line work.
Several roads leave Khushāb and cross the surrounding farmland in long, near-straight lines, linking the town to the rest of the district and to the wider Punjab.

Ko e hā ʻa Khushāb
For people from Khushāb or the district around it, this map is a way to keep home close when home is far away. The river, the old lanes and the roads out of town are the kind of details that feel familiar at a glance, even in pure line work.
You can personalise the poster with your own title and subtitle, such as a family name or a date that matters, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room it will hang in.
