Ko e mape
Matupá lies in the far north of Mato Grosso, in the transition zone between the Brazilian savanna and the Amazon rainforest. From above it looks like many towns founded during the colonisation of the region. There is a regular planned grid beside a major highway, and long straight rural roads run out through farmland and remaining forest.
The town grew as part of the settlement of northern Mato Grosso in the late twentieth century, along the BR-163. This highway connects Cuiabá with the Amazon and has shaped much of the region's development. Agriculture and cattle ranching are central to the local economy.
A Matupá map poster shows a place that was clearly planned. The blocks are orderly, the avenues are wide, and the highway runs past the town like a spine. Beyond the urban edge, the straight lines of property roads cut across the landscape, which gives the print a strong geometric look.
The main north–south highway runs along the town and is the strongest line on the map, connecting Matupá to the rest of Brazil.
The town is laid out in regular blocks with wide avenues, typical of settlements founded during the colonisation of the region.
Outside town, long straight farm roads divide the land into large rectangles between patches of forest.

People from Matupá often have family stories tied to its founding and the move north. A map of the town records that chapter in a clear, simple form, and it suits both homes in the town and homes far away from it.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a family name or a founding year. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
