Ko e mape
N'dalatando is the capital of Cuanza Norte province, in the hilly, green interior east of Luanda. From above, the town follows the terrain closely: streets curve and climb, neighbourhoods sit on different levels, and open wooded ground breaks up the built area. There is no rigid grid here, only a network shaped by slopes.
The province is known for its humid, forested landscape and for coffee growing, historically one of the main crops of the region. The town serves as the administrative and commercial centre for the surrounding area.
An N'dalatando map poster reflects a town that grew into its hills. The streets form loose, looping patterns, the outer roads wind away into green country, and the overall outline is irregular and organic. In black and white, the curving lines make a quietly expressive design.
Roads bend and loop to follow the hills, giving the map a flowing pattern rather than straight, regular blocks.
Districts sit at different heights, separated by slopes and open ground, so the town appears as a series of connected clusters.
Forested hillsides and farmland encircle the town, leaving open spaces that frame the streets on every side.
