Nsoatre lies in Ghana's Bono Region, in a landscape of farmland, forest patches and scattered settlements between the forest belt and the savannah further north. Towns here usually grow along their main roads, and the map reflects this. Streets gather around the central junction and the market area, then stretch outwards along the routes towards neighbouring towns.
From above, the core forms an irregular network of streets and compounds, with newer residential areas spreading more loosely at the edges.
