Panniyannūr is a locality in the Kannur district of northern Kerala, close to the coastal town of Thalassery. Like much of this part of the Malabar coast, it is not a dense town with a clear centre but a spread of homes, small junctions and fields connected by roads that follow the uneven ground.
From above, the map shows lanes curving around low hills and between plots of coconut palms and gardens. Water channels and small streams wind through the area toward the coast, and the absence of a strict grid gives the drawing an organic, hand-traced quality.
