Ko e mape
Paraíso do Tocantins lies in the centre of Tocantins state, on the BR-153, the long Belém–Brasília highway that crosses the interior of Brazil. The town grew up beside this road. On the map the highway still runs through it as a firm line, with a regular grid of streets on either side. The state capital, Palmas, is a short drive to the east.
The surrounding landscape is cerrado, the tropical savanna of central Brazil, broken by low hills and ridges and crossed by streams. Farms and cattle pastures cover much of the land. The town is a commercial centre for this farming area and a regular stop for traffic on the highway.
A Paraíso do Tocantins map poster shows a clear, readable plan: the straight highway, the orderly blocks on each side and the open savanna beyond. It is a young town by Brazilian standards. Its layout reflects growth along a modern highway rather than centuries of gradual building, and that gives it a clean geometry that works well on paper.
The Belém–Brasília highway passes straight through the town. It forms the backbone of the map and the line along which much of the town's commerce is arranged.
Regular rectangular blocks extend from the highway on both sides, creating an even, structured pattern that looks especially crisp in black and white.
Open savanna, pasture and low hills surround the town. They leave calm space around the grid and mark the change from urban streets to countryside.
