Petitgoa I is a rural town in the Bas-Sassandra District of southwestern Ivory Coast, a region of tropical forest, rivers and plantation farming. On a map it appears as a compact settlement where a few roads meet. Around it lies a much larger area of farmland and woodland crossed by unpaved tracks.
