Picassent lies south of Valencia, on the inland edge of the fertile plain that surrounds the city. From above, the town forms a compact core of streets, with newer blocks and residential areas spreading outward. To the east lies the flat, closely divided land of orchards and fields. To the west the ground begins to rise into low hills with scattered houses and dry scrub.
