Sanctorum Map Poster & Print
Sanctorum is a community in the Puebla-Tlaxcala valley, on the north-western edge of the Puebla metropolitan area. From above it blends into the city around it. Older streets sit near its centre and newer housing spreads outward. Major roads link it to Puebla, industrial zones and neighbouring towns across the high, broad valley.
The valley sits more than two thousand metres above sea level, with the volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl rising to the west and La Malinche to the north-east. Much of the area was once farmland. Fields still appear between the newer neighbourhoods on the map, but they are gradually being replaced as the city keeps growing.
A Sanctorum map poster shows a place in the middle of change, where village streets, housing estates and highways meet. In black and white, regular grids, curving cul-de-sacs and the remaining field lines make a varied composition. It records the community at one particular moment in its growth, as it is today.

Remaining fields
Between built-up zones, patches of farmland survive, marked by straight field boundaries. They give the map breathing space and hint at the valley's farming past.
