Shahuwadi is a taluka in the western part of Kolhapur district, where the Deccan plateau begins to fold into the Sahyadri range. From above it looks nothing like a compact city. The map is dominated by broad open areas of hill and forest, with thin roads bending along the valleys to link small settlements rather than forming a single urban grid.
The Warna river runs along the northern side of the area, and smaller streams drain through the valleys between the ridges. The road towards the Konkan coast climbs through the ghats here, and its looping line is one of the most distinctive shapes on the sheet, a reminder of how steeply the western edge of Maharashtra falls away.
The taluka is also home to Vishalgad, a hill fort associated with Shivaji and the Maratha period. A Shahuwadi map poster works as a portrait of terrain as much as of settlement. It shows how roads, rivers and villages have had to fit themselves around the hills, and how much of the land is still left to forest and field.
The route west towards the coast climbs in tight bends through the hills. It draws one of the most expressive lines on the map as it winds between ridges and forest.
The fort stands on high ground among the western hills, an isolated point of history set within a landscape of slopes, valleys and small hamlets.
Along the northern side, the Warna traces a clear, curving line, with fields and villages gathered on its banks against the quieter texture of the hills.

For families with roots in the villages of Shahuwadi, or anyone who has driven the ghat roads in the monsoon, this map captures a place defined by land rather than buildings. It suits a study or hallway where a calmer, more rural image fits.
Personalise the title with a village name, the subtitle with a date, and keep or adjust the coordinates line. There are five styles, from Classic black & white and Noir to Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as instant HD downloads or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
