Simav lies in the west of Kütahya province, in inland Aegean Turkey, where a wide agricultural plain meets the slopes of Simav Dağı. On a map the town is a compact spread of streets at the foot of the hills, with straight rural roads running out across the flat plain.
The area is known for geothermal activity. Hot springs around Simav have long been used for bathing, and more recently geothermal water has been used for district heating and greenhouses. The region is also seismically active, which is part of the reason for the thermal resources.
A Simav map poster shows the meeting of two landscapes: the orderly lines of the plain on one side and the rising ground of the mountains on the other. The town sits where they join, dense at its centre and looser at its edges.
The town sits where the plain meets the slopes. Streets on the uphill side become less regular as they follow the rising ground.
The broad, flat farmland beside the town is crossed by straight roads and field boundaries, forming a calm, orderly pattern on the map.
The central streets form a tight cluster where most of the town's commercial life is concentrated. It is easy to spot as the densest area in the frame.

For families from Simav and people who have visited its thermal springs, this map is a quiet reminder of a distinctive part of inland Anatolia. The way the town sits between plain and mountains gives it a balanced, natural composition.
