Suhum lies in the Eastern Region of Ghana, north-west of Accra, on the main road between the capital and Kumasi. From above, the town stretches along this highway, with streets branching off to either side and the built-up area thinning into farmland and forest.
The centre forms a denser cluster of streets around the market area, while newer neighbourhoods extend outward along secondary roads. The surrounding landscape is gently rolling and green, with farms and villages linked by smaller roads that fan out from the town.
The area around Suhum is known for farming, particularly cocoa and other crops that have long supported the local economy. A Suhum map poster captures the town's shape: a strong central road, a compact market centre and the countryside that surrounds it.
The main highway runs through the town, a strong line that organises the map and connects Suhum to Ghana's two largest cities.
A denser knot of streets around the market marks the heart of the town, where trade and daily life are concentrated.
Green, rolling farmland surrounds Suhum, and the roads that fan out into it give the edges of the poster a looser, organic feel.
