Timbiras is a municipality in the interior of Maranhão, in northeastern Brazil. Its name recalls the Timbira peoples, the Indigenous groups historically associated with this part of the country. The town sits in a landscape of rivers, palm groves and farmland, typical of the transition between the Amazon and the drier northeast.
From above, the urban area is compact and fairly regular, with a grid of streets laid out near the river and a few longer roads heading out towards neighbouring towns. The river and its bends give the map its most natural lines, while the town's blocks form a neat, geometric patch in the middle of open country.
A Timbiras map poster works as a clean portrait of a small Brazilian river town. The black-and-white rendering picks out the contrast between the orderly street plan and the organic curves of water and rural roads, producing a quiet, well-balanced print.
The town lies beside a river whose curves provide the strongest natural shapes on the map and mark one edge of the built-up area.
The centre follows a simple, fairly regular grid of blocks, a common pattern in towns of the Maranhão interior.
A few roads run out through the surrounding farmland and forest, linking Timbiras to nearby municipalities across a sparsely built landscape.

This is a map for people from Timbiras who now live elsewhere in Brazil or abroad, and for anyone who wants a meaningful, personal print rather than a generic city. The mix of grid and river keeps it visually interesting.
