Tizayuca sits at the southern edge of Hidalgo, where the high valley of Mexico opens out into wide, level ground. From above, the old centre shows as a compact knot of blocks around a main square and parish church. Around it, the streets loosen into long, straight roads that run out towards farmland, industrial yards and the highway corridor linking the capital with Pachuca.
The town is well known for its dairy basin, a cluster of milk producers that shaped the local economy for decades. In recent years large planned housing estates have grown up around it. On a map they read clearly: tight, repeated cul-de-sacs and curving loops set into rectangular plots. The difference between these and the irregular older core is one of the most striking things about the drawing.
A Tizayuca map poster records a place in the middle of change, where agricultural parcels, factory sheds and new neighbourhoods meet along the same roads. Reduced to black lines on white, the pattern becomes easy to read: the centre, the highway, the estates, and the open ground still waiting between them. The result is plain and quite graphic, with a sense of movement built into it.
A small, dense grid around the main square and church forms the oldest part of town, with shorter blocks and narrower streets than anything built later.
Large developments on the outskirts appear as repeated rows and loops of tiny plots, making a strong, almost textile-like pattern on the poster.
The main route between Mexico City and Pachuca cuts a firm line past the town, with industrial parks and service roads collected along its edges.

For people who grew up in Tizayuca, or moved to one of its new neighbourhoods, the map is a way of fixing a changing town at a particular moment. The older centre and the newer estates share a single frame, and together they say something about where home began.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or the year you got your keys. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It comes as a $9 digital download in six sizes, or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
