Wako is a small city in the south of Saitama, directly on the border with Tokyo's Nerima and Itabashi wards. On a map, its streets form the fine, dense mesh typical of Japanese suburbs. Rail lines cut diagonally across the city, and to the north the wide banks and floodplain of the Arakawa River mark a clear edge.
Wakoshi Station is served by the Tobu Tojo Line and by the Yurakucho and Fukutoshin subway lines, so central Tokyo is within easy reach. The station area is the densest part of the city, with housing streets fanning out from it towards the river and the prefectural border.
Wako is home to the main campus of RIKEN, Japan's national research institute, where element 113 was discovered and named nihonium. Honda also has long-standing facilities here. A Wako map poster shows a scientific and industrial town that looks, from above, like a quiet residential district.
The broad Arakawa and its flood-control banks form the northern edge of the city. Its wide channel creates a strong open band across the top of the map.
The RIKEN campus appears as a large, regular block among the residential streets. It is where the element nihonium was discovered and named.
Wakoshi Station, where the Tobu Tojo Line and two subway lines meet, is the densest point of the city. Streets and routes radiate out from it.

People who have worked at RIKEN, commuted from Wakoshi Station or raised a family here often want a map that shows their small corner of Greater Tokyo. The river edge and dense street mesh make it a detailed, well-balanced print.
You can set the title in Japanese or English, add a subtitle such as a lab name or a year, and choose one of five styles. The $9 HD files come with a print-ready PDF for each of the six sizes.
