Willemstad is the capital of Curaçao in the southern Caribbean. On a map, it is defined by water. The narrow Sint Anna Bay channel divides the historic centre into Punda on the east and Otrobanda on the west. The channel leads inland to the Schottegat, a large natural harbour ringed by docks and industry.
The historic centre and harbour have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The Queen Emma Bridge, a pontoon bridge that swings open for ships, links the two quarters at water level. High above the channel, the Queen Juliana Bridge carries traffic. Punda is home to the Mikvé Israel-Emanuel Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in continuous use in the Americas.
A Willemstad map poster shows the city's unusual structure clearly. The tight grid of Punda faces the more irregular streets of Otrobanda across the channel. The Schottegat opens out behind them, and neighbourhoods like Scharloo and Pietermaai extend along the water. The coastline and harbour lines make a striking image in black and white.

A pontoon bridge that swings aside to let ships through. It links the two historic quarters at water level, and the high Queen Juliana Bridge stands just inland.
A broad inland bay behind the channel, ringed by docks, a refinery and residential districts. Its irregular shape fills much of the map north of the old town.

Willemstad is the part of Curaçao everyone remembers: the harbour, the bridges and the two quarters facing each other across the channel. A map of the city captures that layout in a single calm frame.
Add a title and subtitle to mark a holiday, a wedding or a family connection, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, including Classic black & white, Noir and Blueprint. The harbour and channel look sharp in each one.
