Zugdidi is the main city of Samegrelo in western Georgia, lying in the lowlands between the Black Sea coast and the foothills of the Caucasus. The Enguri River runs to the northwest, and on the map the city appears as a broad, regular layout of streets and avenues surrounded by farmland.
Zugdidi is known for the Dadiani Palace, the former residence of the princes of Mingrelia, now a museum, and its large botanical garden. These form a green, open area near the centre, contrasting with the denser blocks of the surrounding streets.
A Zugdidi map poster shows a city with a clear structure: wide avenues leading to the centre, the palace grounds, and roads heading toward the Enguri and the mountains. The flat terrain gives the composition an orderly and calm appearance.
The palace and its botanical garden form a large green space near the centre, one of the most distinctive features on the city map.
Long, straight avenues lead into the centre, giving the city a clear structure that stands out against the smaller residential streets.
The river flows to the northwest of the city, a strong natural line that marks the edge of the lowland around Zugdidi.

Zugdidi is a home city for many Mingrelian families and a stop for travellers heading toward Svaneti. A map of its avenues and palace gardens makes a thoughtful reminder of western Georgia.
