The Saale crossing
The river runs through the middle of town, dividing the Talstadt and Bergstadt, and its bends and bridges form the strongest line on the whole map.

Bernburg Map Poster & Print
Bernburg lies on the Saale in Saxony-Anhalt, and the river is the organising line of any map of the town. It runs through from south to north, separating the lower Talstadt on one bank from the higher ground of the Bergstadt on the other. Bridges stitch the two halves together, and the shape of the valley decides where the older streets could grow.
Above the river stands Bernburg Castle, a Renaissance residence of the princes of Anhalt-Bernburg set on a rocky rise over the water. From above, the old quarters show the irregular, tightly packed streets of a medieval town, while later districts spread outward in looser blocks, rail lines and industrial sites linked to the area's long tradition of salt and soda production.
A Bernburg map poster turns this layered layout into a clear drawing: the curve of the Saale, the bridges, the knot of old lanes around the castle hill and the wider streets beyond. It is a town whose history is legible in its plan, and the black-and-white treatment lets that structure speak without distraction.

Castle on the rock
Bernburg Castle rises on a rocky outcrop above the Saale, and the streets around it bend to the terrain, giving the old centre an irregular, compact outline.
Industrial edges
Beyond the historic quarters, rail tracks and larger industrial plots tied to salt and soda production add broad, geometric shapes to the town's outer map.
