Coswig Map Poster & Print
Coswig lies in the Elbe valley in Saxony, roughly between Dresden and Meissen. The town spreads across the flat valley floor, and the land to the north rises into the slopes that border the river corridor. On a map, residential streets, a railway line and main roads all run roughly parallel to the Elbe.
The terraced slopes along this part of the valley belong to the Saxon wine region, one of the northernmost in Europe. A Coswig map poster shows the transition from an ordered pattern of streets and houses to the steeper ground where vineyards and woodland take over.
The town has a suburban rhythm, with regular rail connections to Dresden and a mix of detached houses, older village centres and small industrial sites. Several former villages have merged into the present town, and their earlier cores remain visible as slightly denser knots in the street pattern.

Vineyard slopes
To the north the land rises onto slopes used for wine growing and woodland. On the map they appear as a quieter zone above the denser streets.
Merged village cores
Coswig grew from several villages, and their historic centres show up as small clusters inside a wider suburban pattern.
