Compact town centre
The streets form a tight, regular pattern of small blocks. It's the densest part of the map and stands out clearly against the open land around it.

Lajas Map Poster & Print
Lajas is a municipal town in Cienfuegos Province in central Cuba. It lies inland from the southern coast in a region long shaped by agriculture, sugar cane above all. On a map the town is a small, dense cluster of streets on low, open ground. Around it, a thin network of rural roads and field boundaries stretches toward neighbouring settlements.
The town's full name is Santa Isabel de las Lajas, and it is best known as the birthplace of Benny Moré. Born here in 1919, he became one of the defining voices of Cuban popular music. The town remembers him every year, and for many Cubans the name Lajas is tied to his songs as much as to its place on the map.
A Lajas map poster keeps things simple. It shows a close-knit block pattern at the centre, looser edges where houses give way to plots and fields, and the roads that link the town to the rest of the province. It's a modest, honest portrait of a small place, and it gives the shape of the town as much weight as the streets themselves.

Farmland all around
Beyond the built-up area the map opens into a sparse pattern of rural roads and tracks across the flat agricultural land of Cienfuegos Province.
Roads outward
A few longer roads lead out of town toward other settlements in the province. They give the composition its direction and link Lajas to the wider region.

Neden Lajas
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
For people with family roots in Lajas, or for admirers of Benny Moré, this map is a quiet way to keep the town close. It works as a personal keepsake, and it also makes a meaningful gift for someone living far from central Cuba.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name, a birth year or a line from a song. Then pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The warmer Paper and Sand styles suit the rural setting especially well.
