Neumünster Map Poster & Print
Neumünster sits almost exactly in the middle of Schleswig-Holstein, and its map shows it as a crossroads. Railway lines come in from Hamburg, Kiel, Heide and Bad Segeberg and meet at the station. The A7 motorway runs along the western side. Inside this frame, a compact centre has formed around the Großflecken, a long open square, and the old parish church.
The name refers to a new minster, the monastery founded here in the twelfth century by the missionary Vicelin. For much of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries the town was known for cloth and leather production, and some of its former mills still stand along the small River Schwale, which winds through the centre.
North of the town is Lake Einfeld, a smooth patch of water surrounded by paths and green space. A Neumünster map poster brings these features together: railway lines converging from several directions, a winding stream and a lake at the top of the frame.

Converging railways
Lines from several directions meet at the station, and their curves give the map a strong sense of the town as a regional hub.
Lake Einfeld
The lake north of the town is a smooth open shape with paths along its shore. It balances the denser streets further south.

Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Neumünster suits people who studied, worked or grew up in the heart of Schleswig-Holstein. The layout, a small centre, a winding stream, railway lines and a lake, is balanced and works in any of the six print sizes.
You can write your own title and subtitle, perhaps a street name or a date, and change the coordinates line. Then choose one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as digital files or a matte printed poster.
