Ridge roads
The main routes keep to higher ground and bend with the land, giving the map long, flowing lines instead of the straight axes of a planned town.

Rulenge Map Poster & Print
Rulenge lies in Ngara District in the Kagera region, in the far northwest of Tanzania, not far from the borders with Rwanda and Burundi. The country here is high and rolling, with ridges separated by green valleys and a patchwork of small farms covering the slopes. The town serves as a local centre for this highland farming area.
Rulenge is also known as the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Rulenge-Ngara, and church institutions such as schools and health facilities have long been part of its fabric. On a map, the settlement follows the terrain rather than a grid: roads run along the crests and bend down into the valleys, with homes and plots spread out along them.
A Rulenge map poster turns that highland pattern into a set of fine, curving lines. Main roads connect the town to Ngara and other centres in the district, smaller tracks branch between farms, and the open spaces of the hills fill the sheet around them. The result is loose and organic, very different from the dense grids of larger towns.

Scattered settlement
Houses and farm plots spread along roads and slopes rather than packing into a single core, producing a light, distributed texture across the poster.
Border highlands
The surrounding hills belong to the uplands shared with Rwanda and Burundi, and their open ground leaves generous space around the town on the finished print.
