Distributor roads
Broad curving roads and frequent roundabouts link the neighbourhoods. On the map they form a loose net, clearly different from older English town centres.

Telford Map Poster & Print
Telford was designated a new town in the 1960s. It joined a string of older Shropshire mining and ironworking communities, and it was named after the engineer Thomas Telford. From above, its planned structure is obvious. Wide distributor roads loop between neighbourhoods, and a roundabout marks almost every junction. The shopping centre and Town Park sit at the middle.
The older settlements are still visible as tighter, more irregular street patterns inside the planned framework. To the south, the River Severn runs through the Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site regarded as a birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. The world's first cast-iron bridge crosses the river there.
A Telford map poster pairs two opposite shapes. One is the smooth, modern road system of the new town. The other is the steep, winding gorge where industrial Britain began. The M54 runs along the north. The Wrekin, a lone hill to the west, is a local landmark that frames the town's setting.

Town Park
A large green space at the centre, next to the shopping centre. It shows as an open, irregular shape among the planned blocks.
Ironbridge Gorge
The Severn cuts a narrow valley along the southern edge, crossed by the historic Iron Bridge. The winding lanes of the gorge contrast with the new town above.

Neden Telford
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
Telford is where many people find their first house or raise a family, and its map is unmistakable once you know it. Put an estate name in the subtitle, add a meaningful year to the title and keep the coordinates for the exact spot.
The looping roads read cleanly in Classic black & white and Blueprint. Paper and Sand suit the old gorge. For $9 you get 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files in six sizes. Matte printed posters can be ordered with an optional wooden frame.
