Weiden Map Poster & Print
Weiden in der Oberpfalz sits in northeastern Bavaria, a short drive from the Czech border. On a map its centre reads as one long market place. The old town stretches along a single axis, and narrow lanes branch off it at right angles. Around it the streets loosen into residential quarters, rail lines and industrial blocks, and the whole plan settles into the gentle, wooded country of the Upper Palatinate.
The Waldnaab runs past the town on its way south, drawing a soft line of meadow and riverbank along one side of the plan. Railway tracks and the motorway frame the edges, while the historic core stays compact and easy to read. The town is known for its porcelain industry, and the composer Max Reger spent his childhood and youth here before his career took him elsewhere.
A Weiden map poster captures the contrast between a tight medieval centre and the looser grid that grew around it in the industrial age. In black and white the market street becomes a clear spine, the river a pale ribbon and the surrounding villages a scatter of small street clusters. It is a quiet, balanced composition that suits a hallway, a study or a kitchen wall.

The Waldnaab
The river passes the town in a band of meadows and green space. It gives one side of the map a softer, open texture against the denser streets.
Rail and roads
Railway lines and the motorway trace long, straight strokes along the edges of the plan, a reminder of the town's role as a regional hub near the Czech border.

Neden Weiden
Anlam taşıyan bir harita
People hang this map because Weiden is where they grew up, studied or started a family, or because it is the Upper Palatinate town they return to on every visit home. The plan is compact enough to read at a glance, yet detailed enough to find one particular street.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line to add a family name or a date that matters, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The HD files cost $9, or you can order a matte print, framed if you like.
