la Nucia Map Poster & Print
La Nucia lies in the Marina Baixa district of Alicante, a short way inland from Benidorm, on slopes that rise from the coastal plain towards the mountains. On a map, the difference from the grid of the resort below is obvious. Here streets curve across the hillsides, following the contours and climbing in switchbacks.
The small historic centre sits on a rise, a compact group of lanes around the church. Much of the modern town is made up of residential developments spread over the surrounding hills, where roads loop between villas and gardens. The town is also known for its large municipal sports complex, which hosts events in many disciplines.
A la Nucia map poster captures the mountain-and-sea setting of the Costa Blanca hinterland: a dense old centre, looping hillside roads and the landscape rising towards the peaks behind. In monochrome, those contour-hugging streets make an elegant, almost hand-drawn pattern.

Contour streets
Residential roads follow the slopes in long curves and switchbacks, which gives the map its flowing, organic texture.
Sports city
The large municipal sports complex forms a distinctive block of pitches and facilities within the town's otherwise residential fabric.

Many residents of la Nucia came from elsewhere in Europe for the climate and the mountains, and a map of the town marks that choice. It also makes a warm gift for friends who spend their winters here.
