Antwerp Map Poster & Print
Antwerp grew on the right bank of the Scheldt, where the river bends and deep water allowed ships to come close to land. The old centre fans out from the riverbank around the Grote Markt and the Cathedral of Our Lady, with narrow medieval streets that curve and branch. On a map this core forms a dense half-circle pressed against the river.
Around it, the Leien, a line of broad boulevards built on the route of the former city walls, trace a clear arc from north to south. Beyond that, the R1 ring road forms a larger loop, and the railway approaches the domed Antwerp-Centraal station from the east. North of the centre, the Eilandje district leads into the long rectangular docks of the port, one of the largest in Europe.
Across the river, the Linkeroever district is reached by tunnels, including the pedestrian Sint-Annatunnel beneath the Scheldt. Antwerp is also known worldwide for its diamond trade and for Rubens, who lived and worked here. An Antwerp map poster captures its layered form, from the medieval heart to the concentric boulevards and the vast geometry of the harbour.

Leien and R1
Two concentric arcs, the historic boulevards and the modern ring road, wrap the centre in layers that show clearly how the city expanded outward over time.
Port docks
North of the Eilandje, long straight basins and quays extend toward the Dutch border, a vast industrial pattern that dwarfs the historic centre.

Antwerp is a city people choose: for study, for fashion, for work at the port or simply because they settled there. The map suits anyone who knows its squares, its riverfront and the rhythm of its boulevards.
Write your own title and subtitle, for example a neighbourhood like Zurenborg or a date, and keep the coordinates. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand; each works well with the city's concentric plan.
