Te mapa
’Aïn el Hammam sits high in the Tizi Ouzou province, one of the mountain towns of Greater Kabylie. From above, the built area follows the line of a ridge rather than spreading across a plain, with the main road running along the crest and short streets dropping away on either side toward steep ravines and terraced slopes.
The town was known as Michelet during the colonial period, and it has long been a local centre for the villages scattered across the surrounding hills. On a map, those villages show up as small clusters perched on neighbouring ridges, linked by roads that wind along contour lines instead of cutting straight between points.
A ’Aïn el Hammam map poster turns this mountain geometry into a clean line drawing. The dense core on the spine, the loose threads of road looping down the valleys and the empty space of the slopes give the print a strong vertical feel, even when it hangs in a flat room far from Kabylie.
The centre stretches along the top of a spur, so the street pattern reads as a narrow band with lanes branching outward, a shape set by the terrain.
Roads leaving town bend repeatedly to hold their gradient, drawing long switchback curves across the paper that link the town to villages on nearby ridges.
The town lies within sight of the Djurdjura range, and the thinning of streets toward the higher ground shows how closely the settlement is tied to the mountains.

Koteā ko ’Aïn el Hammam
For families with roots in Kabylie, this map is a way to keep the home village and its ridge close at hand. It suits hallways and studies, where the winding roads can be read slowly, one bend at a time.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a family name or a date, and choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper and Sand bring out the warmth of the hill country.
