Te mapa
Anzio occupies a low headland on the Tyrrhenian coast south of Rome. From above, the sea defines its shape. A curved harbour is tucked against the point, and a compact old town sits behind it. A long strip of development follows the shoreline in both directions until it merges with Nettuno to the southeast.
The town stands on the site of ancient Antium, a retreat for Roman aristocrats and the birthplace of both Nero and Caligula. Remains of an imperial villa still line the shore. In January 1944 Allied forces landed here in Operation Shingle, and the months of fighting that followed made the name Anzio known around the world.
An Anzio map poster works well because the coastline gives it a strong, readable outline. Breakwaters and quays form sharp geometric marks at the harbour, and the old street pattern is tighter than the later districts inland. The open sea leaves a wide, calm field of white or black, depending on the style you choose.
Angular breakwaters projecting into the sea frame the port and make up the most precise lines on the map. Ferries to the Pontine Islands leave from here.
West of the harbour, the ruins of the Roman imperial villa sit at the water's edge, where the coastal road, low cliffs and the sea meet.
Anzio and Nettuno have grown into one another along the shore. The map shows a single band of streets following the coast, with no clear gap between the two towns.

Koteā ko Anzio
Anzio draws veterans' families, people tracing the 1944 landing and Romans who spend their summers on this coast. A map of the headland and harbour holds all of those stories without needing a single label.
Personalise it with a title, a subtitle such as a family name or a date, and the coordinates line. Blueprint suits the crisp engineering of the harbour, while Sand leans toward the seaside mood. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
