Bāgh Map Poster & Print
Bāgh is the headquarters of Bagh District in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, set among the hills of the Pir Panjal foothills. The terrain dictates everything here: the town stretches along valley floors and lower slopes, and roads wind in switchbacks to reach villages on the ridges above.
Bāgh was among the places severely affected by the 2005 Kashmir earthquake, and much of the town was rebuilt in the years that followed. The map today shows a compact centre in the valley, with bazaar streets and public buildings grouped closely, and housing climbing outward wherever the slopes allow.
