Bhaun is a town in Chakwal district in Punjab, Pakistan, on the Potohar plateau a short distance from the city of Chakwal. The Salt Range rises to the south. The country around the town mixes cultivated fields with the eroded, gully-cut ground typical of this part of northern Punjab, and on the map the town appears as a compact cluster of lanes.
The settlement is dense at the centre, with narrow streets drawn close together, and looser toward the edges where fields and scattered buildings begin. Farming here depends largely on rainfall.
