Bhitarwār is a town in Gwalior district, in the northern part of Madhya Pradesh. It lies on the plains of the Gwalior region, a landscape of farmland, low rises and seasonal streams. From above the town is compact, with a central area of closely built streets and a looser fringe where houses give way to fields.
