Bhusawar sits in eastern Rajasthan, in flat farmland far from the desert dunes most people picture when they think of the state. From above, the town is a tight cluster of lanes and small blocks. Built-up land ends quite suddenly, and field boundaries take over from street lines on every side.
The map is best read from the centre outward. The oldest part of town has irregular, closely packed lanes that bend around one another. Farther out, roads straighten into routes linking Bhusawar to neighbouring villages and market towns, and the spaces between buildings open up as the fields come closer.
