Te mapa
Blainville sits on the North Shore of Montreal, in the Laurentides region of Quebec. From above, it is a textbook postwar and modern suburb: winding crescents and cul-de-sacs grouped into neighbourhoods, framed by larger arterial roads. Autoroute 15 runs along one side, and a commuter rail line passes through, linking the city with central Montreal.
Blainville grew quickly in the second half of the twentieth century as families moved beyond the island of Montreal. Large parks, woodlands and a golf course sit among the housing areas, and newer districts continue to extend the pattern. It is a city built mostly for living, with the rhythm of commuting and school routes shaping how it works.
A Blainville map poster turns that suburban structure into something graphic. The loops of residential streets, the straight lines of highway and rail, and the open patches of green combine into a pattern quite different from an old-town grid. For a family home, it is a map of the everyday.
Residential streets bend into loops and cul-de-sacs, grouped into distinct neighbourhoods that give the map a soft, organic texture.
The highway runs north from Montreal past the city, a strong straight line on the map and the main road link for commuters.
A commuter rail line crosses the city, and wooded areas and parks break up the housing, leaving open patches across the composition.

Koteā ko Blainville
For many people Blainville is where they bought a first house or raised children. A map of the streets they drive every day is personal in a way a landmark poster is not.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with a move-in date, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD download or a printed poster with optional frame are both available.
